Henie Onstad Art Center was chosen for the story that it holds. A place built and shaped by Sonja Henie, not only a three-time Olympic champion and Hollywood star, but also a pioneering art collector.

At a time when few women held that role, she built a bold collection of modern art with her husband, Niels Onstad. In 1968, they founded the Henie Onstad Art Center, a lasting symbol of her cultural vision.

Sonja Henie was a woman who owned every room she entered, broke boundaries, and built her own legacy.

The surroundings mirror the mood of this collection: grounded in earthy tones of brown, rustic red, black and white, a classic palette that reflects quietstrength, elegance and timeless style.
